City Lights 03:48
I had this premonition I won’t degrade to superstition Theres some things that you just feel Can’t turn away till they are real I’ve had this dream before Theres a great wide world waiting out my door A million places shining oh so bright Are calling me into the night And those city lights keep turning me around And I don’t know which ways up or down Those city lights are bringing me to my knees And I am found, I am found I had this premonition And all I got to go on is intuition To lead me where I truly want to be I hope you’re going there with me Cause those city lights are turning me around And I don’t know which ways up or down Those city lights keep bringing me to my knees And I am found, I am found Won’t stop till it’s all gone Gonna pack it up and give it away Livings easy without all the weight And theres nowhere to go back to now Bu-bu-bye bye Barjinder I’ll be sitting by the Willamette River I’ll be sweating in the Mohave Desert I’ll be sleeping in my car come September Sleeping in my car Long gone Gone gone gone

Hear Me Out 03:59
Take me outside We’re on a hunt for a good life Could be a long ride But hope’s alive in the skyline Ooo Won’t you tell me what you’re thinking of Every time you’re on your own route Inception, conception, was wandering on Can you tell me in your own way Let me tell you what I wouldn’t say Did I mention I had my back turned Sun shines me blue I did assume Hey are you listening I’m trying to understand What you on about Just hear me out Just hear me out Ooo Take me outside We’re on a hunt for a good life Could be a long ride But hope’s alive in the skyline Looking for a place to hide away Work another year to loose that face Deception, protection and security Kinda hard to get a read on you Even the right things are what I should do Feeling tension seeing my walls burned I’m shinin’ blue What can I do I’m trying to understand Hey are you listenin’ But I’m bleeding doubt Just hear me out Just hear me out And its alright if we ain’t on the same side See through both eyes And you know what this feels like Take me outside We’re on a hunt for a good life Could be a long ride But hope’s alive in the skyline Ooo

Some days you get that feeling It eats you up inside You’ve been misunderstood The truth is buried in lies Why bother taking time If they won’t change their mind No need to justify Its done, so whats it to yah? Oh oh don’t get emotional You’ve got to ride it out You’ve got a long way to go Relax you’ve got it under control With every mile that passes You start to understand What once looked like a mountain Can fit inside of your hand It bares a quiet sadness And now and then you sigh You know you took your chances Scars serve to remind Oh oh don’t get emotional You’ve got to ride it out You’ve got a long way to go Relax you’ve got it under control Now it’s said and done They have our recognition But the rhythm is right Et le vent se leve We’re running ahead And though the picture can’t get any clearer Trouble will come around Try and get you down Oh oh don’t get emotional Oh oh don’t get emotional You’ve got to ride it out You’ve got a long way to go You’ve got to ride it out You’ve got a long way to go Relax you’ve got it under control

Swimming in a sea of numbers Pushing me backwards and forwards No I know I don’t know the answer No I know I don’t Baby got a back hand from the ocean Still shocked from the force of the motion What were you thinking Who you been talkin’ to Blue skinned, your bloody toes Shivering down to the bone Rising up, shrouded in evening light And you wanna stop drownin’ But you can’t stop divin’ in Swimming in a sea of numbers Pushing me backwards and forwards No I know I don’t know the answer No I know I don’t got all the answers Jot down, saved by the bell curve XYs getting their life served up on a porcelain plate Are they living, or waiting to break Strung out, open the door A thousand letters come crashing to the floor Wanting to commiserate Thats alright, but not today What felt good from the start Can just tear someone apart Swimming in a sea of numbers Pushing me backwards and forwards No I know I don’t know the answer No I know I don’t got all the answers It’s seventy miles till home The destinations always in change You can argue how much or how long But if you ask why the answers the same I’m swimming in a sea of numbers Pushing me backwards and forwards No I know I don’t know the answer No I know I don’t got all the answers Swimming in a sea, in a sea of numb Pushing me backwards, backwards and forth Swimming in a sea, in a sea o numb Pushing me backwards, backwards and forth No I know I don’t know the answer Now I know nobody got the answer Yeah I know I’ll never have the answer No I know I don’t got all the answers

about

EP Vol. 2 is a live EP recorded at Redwing Ranch in Collbran, CO. It features five songs written over a three year period from 2013 till 2016. They center around the duo’s continuing journey to discover the meanings in music, career and life. The EP starts off with the song “City Lights” which describes the author’s unstoppable desire to go out and see the world, sharing music and adventure. The end of the song describes giving away most of one’s worldly possessions for a life on the road. “Hear Me Out” is a song about misunderstandings between people and how easily they can arise. Give one another a chance to speak for themselves and you may find you can work through any problem. The third track “I Can’t Do This Alone” was initially inspired by various homeless that the duo encountered and made friends with along their US tour in 2014. Even in dire situations, people can come together and rise above with each other’s help. These ideas were further solidified when the duo volunteered as part of a 7 man team with the Canadian non-profit Live Different, giving motivational presentations for students from Grade 6 to Grade 12 in 2015. “Under Control” was inspired by the effects that hearsay can have on a person and how to stay strong with your beliefs and keep moving forward. “Sea of Numbers” expands on the difficulty of decision making: the infinite options, and supposed rights and wrongs that enter our lives. After much effort it seemed at last that there were no cut and dry answers; everything is another shade of grey.

about

Jitensha Montreal, Québec

Jitensha is the garage rock love child of Erin Rose Hubbard and David Martinez. The sound is a silvery union of honey sweet proto-punkiness and modern indie that is harmonically reminiscent of 1950s rock & roll. With vocals, electric guitar and drums, stealing a niche somewhere between the White Stripes and the Civil Wars, Jitensha nestles catchy, poignant melodies into hard hitting rock grooves. ... more
